An OASIS Mapping website demo by East Side, New Design, and Open Road students in Bryant Park, Manhattan on Earth Day 2004 showed people the power of open access to information about our city. OASIS, www.oasisnyc.net, is a public website map of every piece of property in NYC. You can click on pieces of property to get information about green space, ownership, property value, community plans, and more. .

Using wireless laptops in Bryant Park on Earth Day, we showed people how to find natural areas, including parks, living memorials and playgrounds, with New Yorkers for Parks, CMAP, and NYC Audubon Society.
