Open Road Park was initiated, funded, and organized by Open Road, a New York City not-for-profit educational
organization founded in 1990. From 1990 to 2002 Open Road raised private funds to construct the park and 
coordinate all construction and operation. The Park is operated by Open Road through non-profit educational
programs. The site is located at Block 439, Lot 10, and is adjacent to 420 East 12th Street, NYC, NY 10009.
