12th grade science classes and 7/8 grade ecology classes during the school day, Monday through Friday.

These programs are open to the public and free of charge.

Homework Help
We provide free homework help on weekday afternoons. In colder weather students can comfortably do
homework inside our heated greenhouses.


Da Painter’s Corner

Once a week for an hour students will be artistically challenged by drawing and painting objects from a
distance. No prior experience with art is needed.


A Poet’s Words

A one-hour weekly poetry session where students sit in a circle and recite their poems. At the end of
each session students are given topics to write poems on for the following week’s meeting.


Gardening Projects

Exercise your mind and body through gardening projects, including rebuilding a waterfall, designing and
building solar-powered systems, and composting.


Group Building Games
Games designed to foster teamwork, refine problem solving skills, and build trust among participants.


Field Sports

Participants are teamed to play games of volleyball, whiffleball, soccer, football and more.


Group Discussions

We discuss issues that teenagers face and encourage everyone to share their diverse experiences,
enriching the dialogue for all.


Student Internship

Students volunteer to work on projects at the park on Saturdays. They are encouraged to create their own
peer programs on Wednesdays.


Free Movies

On Fridays and Saturdays we show a variety of movies, both educational and entertaining, using an
outdoor movie projector.
